Yamaha separates matching.

It will preset 5 stations. You will just have to push a button like in your car. Oh you mean what fails? That I'm not sure. Hopefuly someone will explain that.

lol! Yeah, I meant if it fails, and what it takes to repair it...:tears:

Battery is the easy fix for some of them. There's also a minor fix Merrylander has posted, more to do with the dial motor running or locking on preset than memory storage as I recall. The nasty one is an IC in there that's unobtanium if it fails. Or so I believe. Avionic had one I couldn't fix but I don't know if it's been resolved or not.

Yes it loses it's memory when you turn off the t7 once the aa ni-cad battery dies. Mine was a super easy diagnosis and fix but Brutal says they're not all that easy to do.

Thanks for the info.

So if that stuff does fail do you still have a stereo? Will it still work? Just won't have the memory for the presets? :scratch2:

Exactly. The tuner will still work fine but you have to spin the knob to get the station you want instead of pressing the buttons.

Looks like I've found a T-1 and a K-950 cassette deck to go with the M-2 & C-4. Thanks for all the advice and guidance on this one. :thmbsp:

Nope.Haven't had a chance to look it over.Picked up a second T-7 with a similar issue.A new ni-cad fixed it.:thmbsp:

You sure can, when Avionic is through "freshening" up the C-4. :thmbsp::yes:

I will post pics when I get it back.

C-4 as is..Top case all beadblasted.Didn't get a chance to drop the top case off at the powdercoaters friday due to crappy weather. Its about 20 miles away on the last road to get plowed. We got about 4.5" of snow on top of a layer of ice Thursday night/Friday morning.

I hope our snow is finished, although it's been a mild winter, here in Indiana. Thanks for posting the "as-is" pic. Gotta figure out what speakers to mate with this set...:scratch2:

Been pretty mild here as well. Not as cold as years past either.

How 'bout NS-1000M? Just A/B'd them versus the NS-200M and there is a _big_ difference especially on the low end. No comparison. Just saying..

Happy listening to all :music:

The Yamaha speakers sound interesting, but I think I will have to settle for some speakers that I already own (my budget for this project has been spent) Oh, I forgot, I had no budget for this project.....:D

Got some Infinity CS-3007's, Klipsch Heresy II's, KG-2's, EPI AR-90's, EPI M400, M202, M140C....... should be alot of fun trying to figure this one out. :music:
