Congrats, Bolly:thmbsp::thmbsp:

55 lbs, pffft.
Keep your helmet, boots and camoflage utility uniform on, grab your M16, throw a 81mm mortar barrel up on your shoulders, flack jacket, cartridge belt with 2 full canteens, first aid kit, 6 magazines loaded with 5.56, gas mask, and a fully loaded ALICE pack with gear and rations for 3 days and go 25 miles then you can brag.;)

"Hell, I may even allow you to serve as a rifleman in my beloved Corps". ..... Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: (Full Metal Jacket)

Congrats Sgt Bolly :beerchug:

thanks fellas!

big changes at work once sgt rank is reached... seperate dining hall, bar, and living accomodations.

when did they change the PFT testing?
when I was in:
pull ups
push ups
sit ups
obstacle course, basically a couple of long sawhorses and a trench, 2 cycles
2 mile run (no gear, just boots)
500 points max

we did forced marches for our EIB's, etc., but not as a standard test...
55 lbs, must have had a rucksack on also?

you got a lot of guts, you must have joined within the last 3-4 years or so to making buck sgt at 44! good on you!
