Michael Jackson - Thriller
Tommy James & the Shondells - Best Of

Billy Joel - The Stranger (WLP)
The Blue Nile - Hats

The first three are cleaned and played perfect. Sometimes you get a hit.

Someone must have unloaded at the Goodwill over the weekend. A bunch of stuff from Asia, Yes, Genesis (post Gabriel), and a lot of other classic prog rock stuff. I'm not a huge fan, so I passed. I reckon, if I had the money and space, they might have been good to bring home for trades. Anyway, here's what did come home for the princely sum of $3.18.

Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse of Reason (not the greatest album in their catalog, but I can say I finally scored one at GW!)

Talking Heads - True Stories

Aerosmith - Rocks

I'll put these at the front of the cleaning queue.

Pink Fairies - Never Never Land - original pressing
Pink Fairies - What A Bunch of Sweeties - original pressing
The Shure Audio Obstacle Course

The T-Rex/Marc Bolan obsession continues... another eBay purchase, $6.99 from a seller in Pittsburgh, German pressing on the Cube label. Love the Fly inner sleeves, nice looking record...

Another nice purchase. I was able to get pretty much all my T-Rex from one seller. I have all the As Tyrannosaurus Rex and T-Rex full length album releases up to Tanx. I would love to have some UK pressings though.

This just ducks under the wire as an LP, IMHO: Just arrived in the mail from the 'bay...a 10" 33RPM single of David & David's "Welcome To The Boomtown".

This takes an already tasty recording to an entirely new level. Love it!

I have another coming today. It's the Fly issued Toofa of the first two albums. Those first two original albums are pricey and even the Toofa pushed my spending limits.

Like you I have been shopping the UK for albums. On ebay if I find a seller with stuff I like I tend to pick up a few titles to save some on the shipping.

I just picked up about 150 Jazz & Classical LPs in excellent condition + 40 rough condition Rock 45s for $50.
I'll play the 45s on my Magnavox in the garage this summer.
There are some very cool tunes in there that aren't too beat for the Maggie.

I'll keep the 30 LP Jazz sampler series, the DG Classical, a few other Classical and make my $50 back on the rest.
The DG includes Vols 1-3 of Beethoven Centennial Series - All the symphonies & Concertos.
Anyone have these?
I have Karajan's excellent 1963 Beethoven set - how do the 1977s compare?

Yes, I am finding some bargains over there as well. It's all in the shipping though. The shipping will lower my bid limit unless I can get combined shipping but I have picked up some early NM UK Bowie, Lou Reed and T-Rex over the last three weeks for some very low prices compared to the same UK releases that I find for sale over here. This is what came today. I'm not sure if these records were ever played, maybe just once! It's a Toofa which is a gatefold containing two previously released albums, in this case, the first two Tyrannosaurus Rex LP's. I am becoming addicted to first pressings or labels like the defunct Fly label whose releases were well engineered and made. I received an early UK Lou Reed Transformer last week on the orange RCA label and was very impressed with it as well.
