Hello,

I’m seeking the wise words of all the Zenith heads out there.

I recently acquired a small box with Zenith oval 49CZ902 and two 49-978 tweeters.

No crossovers. Picture attached.

Do I keep, sell, praise the Zenith lords for the score of a lifetime, run in on Rekkrs mono?

Thanks y’all!

That looks like one of the speakers that was meant to go with the “radial sound” stereo consoles Zenith offered at the end of the 50s. Two cabinets were designed to be placed to extend the stereo spread, and the amp used a “stereo range” pot to gradually make them out-of-phase to exaggerate the stereo effect.

The crossovers were mounted in the console, and the add on speakers were designed to produce mid- to high-frequencies only.
If your tweeters have a high DC resistance, like 45 ohms, it would jive with the ones that I had.
