Zenith x960 or Y960 or what? Can't find model number

Its amazing and got a great deal. I've already cleaned her up a bit and replaced a few bulbs. Its so cool. I do have a couple issues though. One is that I can not for the life of me find the model number anywhere - so i don't know which model this is. The legs are different than the x960, as they don't have the separation in the middle of the cabinet.
Functionally, i need a new belt and the right side high end is out - not sure if its the tweeters and horn or both. Would suspect the crossover, but will test the speakers this weekend. If it is the crossover, would love to see where I could get a new one or replace both sides with a matching set.

You have a Z960, 1969 model and the last year of the belt drive changer. You can tell because of the knob design and also the red lettering on the FM scale. I believe thvoiceofmusic.com can get you a belt.

You can check the horn and tweeters with an ohm meter, hopefully it will be the capacitors in the crossover causing your problem, just replace them. I do know of one owner who had a bad crossover coil.

Remember that this is 50 years old and will likely need some capacitors replaced in the amplifier.

Thanks for the info! I'll check out the site to look for a belt. Hopefully I can diagnose the lack of high end on the right side.

I'm going to leave it stock except for incorporating a bluetooth receiver via the 'tape in' RCA input jacks in the back. That should make for one sexy bluetooth speaker :)
 
Looks like I have a bad horn. Do you guys know where I could find one? OR should I replace both with a newer horn?
 
Did you look at the ad? They are selling the woofers, tweeters and the horns. All eight of the speakers. Then you will have spares. I have a complete set of spares for my YT960. These are the exact same ones that are in your console too.

Edit: My mistake. I just read the ad closer and saw that the horns don't work. Sorry! You only need one? I might be persuaded to sell one of my two spares.

I do. One horn works. Either I swap out a similar solution or purchase a match. How much do you want? Also, does anyone have specs for these?
 
I don't know the specs, sorry. I also don't need to make a mint on one of these. Only issue is that I have not heard them work. I parted out a Z966 that was for sale but I couldn't move the whole cabinet. I just removed all of the electronics, turntable and speakers without listening to it. The seller did offer to turn it on for me and said it worked fine, but it was 6 in the morning and I didn't want to wake any of his family. I was really only after the turntable at that time, the rest was bonus. I'll shoot you a PM.
