Nice!
Had anyone eWaved Klipsch Heresies? I just kind of fell into a pair. Sounds like they're kind of tired but I could bring them back. I haven't listened to them, but I am not hearing good things about the stock sound. Midrange harsh and bass poor?
Guess I'll search this thread ...
Yikes. OK; thanks. That was my fear.
Did Zilch or anyone ever figure out how to mod them for better sound?
Thanks for all of the replies guys, although I don't think I'm THAT concerned with the freq response of the speakers at 1 meter, I think they'll be fine for me. I'm more concerned about the response from them at the listening position, the highs drop off unacceptably quick and that worries me. I'm not sure what the problem is. The only acoustic treatments that are in my room are my corner bass traps and I have temporarily placed cardboard in front with no change.
Hmm...
Positioning is critical with heresies. They are best positioned just out of reach of the speaker cable.
That's the touted infinite resistor mod...
That's the fully-upgraded Pi 3 combo (well done!), so all you have to do is contact Wayne at pispeakers.com for plans and the crossover. It would be good of you to purchase the crossovers from him, since you will be building his speakers without buying his kit. Anyway, all your work is done except building them. Oh yeah, I guess you need the waveguide - same advice there.I am a rookie DIY guy when it comes to speakers. I just sold my focal be setup and I will be working on a b&c250 with a ae Td12s.
