Hey Steph I was watching some of your videos a while back , you had mentioned the JJ EL-34 L ? I want to try a pair of JJ's and wanted to ask why that model ? and have you tried the Horizon EL34 ? If so what is your thoughts on those ? Thanks
I need help with some system/ speaker compatibility. Not sure I'm in the right forum, can anyone here possibly help?
Hi. New here. Repairing a Kenwood KA-5700 that needs a replacement “pilot light” for the VU meters.
Kenwood part number: B30-0132-05
Type: Pilot lamp
Rating: 8 V, 0.3 A
Mounting: Leaded, soldered
I cannot find anything close to this lamp at the major electronics online stores. Can you help?
P.S. I prefer to go with the original incandescent but will consider alternatives if these are hard to come by.
Where are you? I have a pair of DQ 10s which I recently hooked up, and was surprised by how good they sounded, even in my too small room (which is one reason they weren't in normal use - domestic harmony is the other). I ask because even bargain speakers become unaffordable as soon as shipping becomes involved. I'm in Connecticut, near Old Saybrook.

I am fortunately/unfortunately in Southern California. Fortunately as there is alot of opportunity here to find things, and well, its sunny. Unfortunately it's California, haha.. What are you driving your 10's with? how small is your room? thank you for reaching out

Hi Nathan

It's Randy from eBay, selling hp8903 gear.

I'm limited to 420 characters per message so will ask for your email address for better communication unless you don't care to give that. I could try the Google method as I have an account but haven't used it for much. I'm at randy@outwestvintagestereo.com

Thanks!
I have 2 Akai Open Reels, 3 receivers, 5 amps, 3 preamps, Laserdisc player, 2 turntables, DAC, 3 subwoofers, many many speakers, cassette player, beta and VHS Stereo Players, several thousand records, open reels, tapes. Gave away a DAT player that I regret. Have 2 Sony VCR’s that do PCM recordings, Roku (as my wife sends me to the basement) for the Sony TV

Hey BIgears,
I have been going over your thread on your SX-D7000 and was wondering how that all turned out for you. Was the power AWR-216 the issue afterall? My SX-D7000 works when plugged into a DBT but goes into protection mode when plugged in directly to 120 volts.
If the color is NOT close enough we make a matching pair just so the visual of your preamp is uniform. If it turns out that the color works, Dr. Fever can become the keeper of all things Fairchild, including those spares, the fasteners, and a few other specialties.
