Hi AK friends,

I’m looking for a clean, original Harman Kardon HK-930 (wood case preferred) for a full professional restoration. Good cosmetics preferred; function not critical.

I’d also consider a properly restored example by a known AK tech for a fair price.

Please PM me with photos and any history. Thanks!

Too bad this wasn't 20 years ago... I owned 6 of those dual mono beasts at one point! Just could not get enough! I absolutely would have sold you one.

You and me both lol. Excellent to meet a fellow HK fan! I ended up finding a 930 and now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. Any thoughts/experience with finding or building a wooden case? I’m even considering making my own. Thanks, and have a great day!
Knobs!!
I am looking for a quad of the dynaco pas2 BROWN tone control knobs. Any chance you have a set?
Thanks
Mark
Oh, zip 80128, and cost please.
Hello Dave! I was directed here by Youtube. I recently inherited my fathers ONKYO TX-2500 amplifier, and I'd love to get her in top shape again! I was wondering if you could sell me the full lamp replacement kit? All the front panel lamps are out, as well as the turning bar lamp.
Let me know what information you'd need if you are able, and appreciate your time! Thanks! Steve
Hi, I replied to your posting about your 2220. I have a question that I'd rather get the answer to privately, and that is which seller did purchase your rebuild kit from? The most reputable seller on ebay is peace.love.and.music, AKA affinity for artifacts, and AKA eastpoint on audiokarma.

Hello Randy, I've only just now seen your request regarding the rebuild kit, so sorry for this late reply. The seller for the kit I bought on Ebay is Marblehead Audio in Ohio and the power output transistors from peace.love.and.music who provided a set of 4 matching OP transistors.
By the way, I'm very grateful for your input regarding the problems with my 2220!
I use distilled water as a second wash when using Groove Master G3 fluid with my VPI model 17 RCM.
Hi Dave,
I need two sets of lamps for a Pioneer CT-F2121 cassette deck. I'd like to get LED's. The lamp for the two VU meters and the one for the dolby light are 5mm wheat bulbs with wires and the tape well lamps are two 30mm x 6.25mm fuse type. Everything is pretty dim, so I'd like to brighten it up a bit, but stay with warm white lamps. They are all measuring 6VAC. Thanks!
This Black Friday thing is severely delaying the delivery of my new (1990) CD player. People, have some consideration for us folks routinely buying stuff online :D

Oh, ho ho! I was wrong, the courier company lost my CD player during the Black Friday shipping rush. So I ordered an even older one instead

And finally, the punchline: The courier accepted their responsibility and footed the bill for the lost shipment. Then, a week later, a message lands that my package is available for pickup.
could anyone pls point me to some reading on amp electronics - i'd like to understand recapping but i don't know what the function of a capacitator :)
Hello Pete, thank you for your reply. Seller is looking 3500€ for this AU 111 vintage 1999. Do you think price fair or to high?

I'm not an expert on these rare models. The guys responding to your posts in the other thread would know more.
Watching auction postings for vintage integrated amps and receivers. Reverse engineering from a pair of recently-refoamed Dahlquist M 907s (mine purchased in 1990). I'm learning electronics as i go along. Grateful for rec's on other auction sites.
Hi, I recently acquired these very interesting speakers. Mine are not as good of condition as yours so I am planing to do a full restoration on mine.

I would like to ask if you would be willing to share those attached files in better quality with me?

Thanks for a fantastic post with thorough information about these speakers. It’s been super helpful.

Are you still interested in going through my Yamaha M 85 amp? Late last spring you said you were busy until late summer. I am in southern Minnesota. From memory, you were in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Hello, I need to talk to you about the "single" Belle Klipsch that you found, please contact me, thank you David.
Zenit, I'm interested in the LK-48 if the shipping isn't too bad. My location is Pasadena, MD 21122 Give me a 'total price' incl shipping, and maybe we can make it happen.

Thanks, Tom D. PS, pls get back to me via regular email at: Wharfcreek@Outlook.com, or call me at 410-925-7213. Thx again!

That one sold, sorry. I have a Scottkit LK-30 that I might be willing to part with, if you are interested
Hi, Im new to this forum and looking forward to learning more about gear. I came across this unusual speaker with Fender markings indicating CTS manufacture yet it is clearly marked as Altec Lansing. I'm confused, Did Altec build speakers at any point out of CTS parts for Fender? is this speaker unique or rare?

Is this in a guitar amp? 10"? Grille cloth winking I out at top makes me think so...
Hi Dave, I picked up a set of KG4's from 1984 it says 4 ohm nominal on the back. Both tweeters are missing and the plastic bracket on the one horn broke off.
I am thinking of making a plate where the tweeter was and attaching an aftermarket tweeter from Parts Express

A fellow AK'er suggested i contact you, Any advice for a replacement that would work ?

An adapter plate may be your best bet. Your problem then becomes the KG sensitivity of 94 db which is quite low for Klipsch. Most modern tweeter drivers have more output and are normally at least 104 db efficient. Current state of the art drivers can be made to work with attenuation though. If it were me I would hold my nose and ask at the garage sale section of the Klipsch forum for a set of those.

Next would be EBay where everything shows up sooner or later but it may take a while before what you need shows up. For whatever reason there are a lot of KG4's for sale out there right now.
sorry been a really busy week with work - if you could have a look at this eject file for the hd plex I would greatly appreciate it. I just appended the file name with .txt
