Question about burning CD's from my Android

Hope this isn't too stupid of a question. My Teac CD recorder has a digital optical input on the back. Can I just get a digital optical - 3.5 cord and burn CD's from my phone?

Your phone plays CDs? If you are talking about a 3.5mm cable that plugs into your headphone jack, it's analog, not digital, and will not bypass the DAC in your phone.
You should be able to do what you are asking if your CD burner has analog (RCA) input jacks.
