In this TV set's day, UHF was an option--one which was very rarely chosen. UHF-equipped sets of the fifties often have an obtrusive extra knob, which appeared more like a kludgey tack-on than a factory design. This one hides its UHF capability very nicely, using the outer ring of the VHF selector knob for UHF channels (which shone through a lighted window) and a small center knob for VHF fine tuning.
