Here is my Classe CAP-2100. Took this pix before I installed the phono boards...
boy I love that new Classe' stuff. very nice. they seem to be doing better than the last 10 or so years. maybe well see a Classe' resurgence in the audio market. I hear they are now moving full production to China and the factory that builds Mark Levinson stuff, I guess cause the same company owns them both now.

Were they ever doing badly ? Classé has always had a healthy share of the high end market.

I suppose the gear built in china will be just as good as the gear built in north america but it is sad to see more north american/canadian jobs go straight down the crapper.....

Very nice! I owned a Classe CA-2200 (appropriately dubbed "the whale") and the thing was a beast. I've never heard an amp with so many relays that click before you hear sound through the speakers (8 IIRC).

Bumpin' this back up with some AudioSource AMP Three nudes!
Nice. Dual power supplies and robust looking. Audiosource amps are underrated. For a while I ran three bridged Amp 100s (150W x 3) in my party system. They sounded great and ran pretty cool.

I find the word "beast" often overused in reference to amps but in this case the term fits. A fine amp. :thmbsp:
They do seem underrated/under valued. That AMP Three is rated at 150wpc, and sure seems to do every bit of that. I listen to music fairly loud at times, and I've never driven this amp into distortion. I always start fearing for my DCM Time Windows well being before that amp runs out of gas, because it gets that loud.
It was a great buy from CL, I paid $100 and it was nearly mint. I can't see it being any less of an amp than many Yamaha and other amps that sell for much more. The owners manual suggest no going below 2 ohms, so that suggests it's got a pretty good power supply if they even mention 2 ohms. Bridged it's rated at 400 watts.
I cannot comment on the sound of it, because it sounds like nothing to me, just power.:yes:
