For $400 you shouldn't have a problem getting the real thing in nice shape, a Technics SL-1200Mk2 not a POS imposter.

The clone in the picture is a JBSystems Q30D MK2 made in China if you Google it it is for sale in Europe ,Eastern Europe, UK China etc but not that I can see in the US
Stanton is also marketing an SL1200 replacement

The vestax, stanton, gemini dj turntables are simply technics clones which surfaced after the technics patents expired

JBSystems Q30D MK2 seems a re-badge Audio-Technica at-lp120.

the Audio Technica and the Jbs sure do look like almost copies
Quote from Audio Technica review seems legit.
It isn’t really fair to compare these two back-to-back as the Technics sells at a much higher price point and given the way its direct drive system works they really are apples and oranges, despite the very similar appearance. The AT-LP120-USB is NOT an SL-1200 at a much lower price, nor is it a clone. It is an excellent budget turntable that used the SL-1200 as a template. You don’t get SL-1200 performance but you do not pay the price, either

From what I'v heard from people in the buisness that if Technics was going to continue production the price tag for the SL-1200Mk2 was going to be in the neighborhood of $1,500. Your right apples and oranges.

I should have bought one when they started blowing them out on Walmart and Home Depots web sites.
