    Mirage OM-5 vs other Mirage Speakers (OM-6, M-490iS, M-590i, M-595iS, M-890i)

I have the Mirage OM-5. They're great. Thanks to integrated 250W amp they are can be easily driven by ANY amplifier, even 9Wpc (Dual CV 20) so I can choose the amp by sounding, not by possibility to drive 'em. And every amplifier playing as he is, but with the possibilities to play as much good...

Replacing bipolar "simulation" with single cap

Is this an instance of a "simulated" bipolar capacitor in a Luxman L5? They are both connected by the negative side, but what makes me doubt is the central cable, and how that behaves in the circuit. Can I substitute these 1uF/50V caps with a single film 0.5uF/100V cap?

    Bipolar Users?

I rarely see bipolar (or dipolar) speakers mentioned. I am not talking about electrostatics, but regular driver bipolar speakers. I have a pair, currently in use in my living room in the surround system as the front L/R. This system is also used for music, although less often. I rather like...

    Sonab OA12 Restoration in Progress

Good evening! Just wanted to share some snaps of a rapid Sonab OA12 restoration I'm undertaking. This is my second journey into rehabbing Sonabs, my first project being a set of OD11 cubes that I mistook as a couple of throwaway bookshelves and as the three-week restoration went on I grew to...
