Replacing bipolar "simulation" with single cap

Is this an instance of a "simulated" bipolar capacitor in a Luxman L5? They are both connected by the negative side, but what makes me doubt is the central cable, and how that behaves in the circuit. Can I substitute these 1uF/50V caps with a single film 0.5uF/100V cap?

They are probably not being used as a "simulated" bi-polar capacitor but as decoupling capacitors. Measure the voltage on all three wires, is the red wire ground? Are they on the schematic?

yeah, don't think the shared leg would be connected to anything else if it was just trying to replace a single bipolar.
