Hey All,
Just reaching out to say hi and Happy New Year to all the AK members. I live in the suburbs of Boston and was more of an audiophile in my youth, but still dabble. I inherited a Nakamichi CR-3A and a B&O Beogram 1800 from my brother who passed, and just finished replacing the belts on...
I love music, all genres, live or prerecorded, makes no difference to me, but I do not have the ear or experience to really be able to talk about warmth, sound stage and all those terms that are thrown around. I like a good jam session regardless of the system, most sound good to me. I currently...

Have a great day, and TAPE IT EASY!
I've just done a classic repair of replacing the belts on my Nakamichi MB-3 and everything works but a new problem arose.

Here's what I know:
It was dead when I got it. It was free with a working tape deck I bought. So I...
I recently acquired a Nakamichi MR-1 that needed a new belt. Once I replaced the belt, the motor stopped turning entirely. I noticed when I first got it before installation of the belt, the motor was indeed functional. I can spin everything with my finger, so I don't think the belt is too tight...
Hello, wanted to see if anyone could recommend who to contact to help get a Dragon working again.
Not sure if it’s a small or big issue. Last couple weeks, it doesn’t play tapes in either direction. Powers up, able to FFW or rewind just fine. Just doesn’t seem to play tapes.
Appreciate any...
I picked up a couple of Nak PA-7 STASIS amplifiers a while back along with a CA-5 and a CA-5II preamp. I put them in my main system one-at-a-time to see what each component would do to the sound. Well, the good news is that the first PA-7 does make sound. Although, I was initially impressed...
