A mystery single ended SV-811 amplifier

This came from a recent estate. Searched the interwebs, and can find no origin. Appears to be kit based. The construction is similar to the Bottlehead kits. I can say that it sounds glorious. If anyone recognizes it, I'd love to hear.

Potted Ouput Transformer- Is it PP or SE UL ??

If I had an unknown overseas (to the west of CA) POTTED output transformer in my hands with 3 primary leads and a 0-4-8 secondary, how would I know for certain if it was push pull or single ended with a UL tap? This particular transformer is claimed to be UL single ended. I attached a file...

    Conrad-Johnson MV55 Triode Mod

I was reading the manual for my MV55 amplifier and it mentioned that my amp can be modified for triode operation. I then realized that I never received a separate ST-70 choke I ordered a few months prior to that for a different project...

    CARY 2A3 CATASTROPHE

I messed up my Cary 2A3 amp. Hoping for some help. It’s not the Cary 2A3 SET — it’s stereo, push-pull, 15WRMS — and it’s not the later Cary 2A3 Integrated. It’s the first amp Cary made, and it put them on the map: it got the small unknown company nationwide distribution. This is the one: I’d...

    DIY SE 45 amp underside

This is my first DIY SET amp. It uses the classic 6SL7/45 SE circuit with RC coupling. Nothing fancy. I used quality parts throughout and careful assembly. The results have been quite satisfying.
