Pioneer sg9 equalizer $10; knight integrated tube amp in excellent condition $5.00; and my most recent find an excellent conditon pioneer pl510a for $7.00
My score happened last year. Someone wrote a post in the Red.Audio.Tube newsgroup saying be is giving away a Scott 299B tube amp and Scott 370 wide band FM tuner for postage. A deal I could not pass up! I even got a Heathkit W4M mono block in the mix (I might be wrong with the model number).
About 6 years ago I got a set of Altec Carmels for $7.00 at a garage sale. They were "too big" so I flipped them, but I've always regretted it. When I found my La Scalas, I learned my lesson and made room.
Never again
I also found a complete Heathkit mono system on the curb, WA-P2 preamp w/ Telefunken tubes, W-5M power amp w/ Mullards, tube tuner, SS-1B extender and the little speaker it went with.
I would have to consider this my best score for under $10.
Kenwood KA400 integrated amp in perfect working condition - $3 from the SA!
It was sitting on a table with a bunch of other stuff. Asked the lady how much, as it had no price tag. She said $3. I said sold!
I found the matching KT400 tuner on ebay for $9.99.
The only score I gotten for less than $10.00. Marantz Model 125 tuner for $1.00 at yard sale. The FM button was missing but has since been replaced and I built a cabinet for it.
I guess my best would be a Luxman L-450 integrated amp and a pair of Altec Lansing Model Ones for $6. The amp was fantastic but those speakers are absolute killer.

Not sure if this counts. Bought a rack of Pioneer stuff at the flea market. Right after paying the guy I sold all but the amp and tuner. Found the matching EQ on the way out. Wound up with the three units shown for -$40. Yes, I had $40 more than I came with when I left.
If that does not count, 2 pair of JBL L100's............Free.
