The 285 driver is 15k to 20k all day long, the whole shebang is probably worth double that.
It's damn cool, in my opinion, even if the op never posts again.
to move it to D&C would deprive many of us of this glimpse into the past.
just my opinion.
Tangentially, I was part of renovating the capital theater in Logan Ut in the eighties,(now renamed the eccles theater) and among the many things we pulled out of the ghost door (It was turned into storage when it bcame a first run, then second run, then dollar theater by the 80s) was an original fantasia promotional poster, a second run wizard of oz poster, and a whole slew of old cameras. it was cool!
you gotta be in it to win it, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and all that jazz.@bowtie427ss Thanks....Know I fell real dumb....Who knows how high other bidder would have gone...There was only 1 other bidder other than myself...
Thing is, he didn't need to come here at all. But, i'm glad he did. It's historically significant, and we got a chance to see it and put his pics in our own archives.^ And Bowtie posted this, if it were me I would edit or delete that so if he does come back it doesn't give him any more ammo
It is… he removed the grill to mount a board to protect the coneThat cabinet doesn’t look like the same as the earlier pics???
I use U-Haul Ubox shipping… works out great. The last item I shipped were some ubangis across country. How is this being shipped?? I would have assumed a freight forwarder or ushipper would have just blanket wrapped it and strapped it to a pallet for transit???
This one, probably a bit more… Ubangi’s it was the cheapest option. I like Ubox because you are in control of when it gets picked up and delivered and you don’t have to worry about it being loaded with a bunch of other chit. At this point paying a few extra bucks for peace of mind was a no brainer to me.odd...Is there a cost savings????
They also ship world wide… I have no idea of the cost but I plan on looking into it.I’ve never heard of Ubox. I gotta check it out.
