1959 Musicmaster ? Pretty cool but is it as cool as a Garrard 301?

I just recently picked up a 1959 Musicmaster "point two five". Is it as fabulous as a Garrard 301? I haven't actually seen a Garrard in person...

Yes it is pretty cool. Not sure how it performs to be honest. Just don't know.

But on the coolness factor, its darn hard to beat out a Garrard 301. Especially the grease bearing ones. But the price for them these days reflects that too!

The "point-one-five" might be in the ballpark of comparison to the 301 since it has a heavy base and machined platter but the "point-two-five" like we have just has a stamped platter and base. No comparison at all. They still are great for putting together a mono rig, most certainly for 78s.
