2 Pin DIN Replacement on Canton Sub

BM0127

I picked up a Canton Plus B Subwoofer a while back on Craigslist on the cheap. The speaker connections are 2 pin DINs. I bought some connectors and wired them up, but a couple of the connectors don't seem to "click" in, and the connection is not great.

So I am looking to replace them with a different connector. Maybe banana plugs, but since these DINs combine positive and negative, I would likely have to have two wire/cables coming out of each receptacle. Are there any other options?

Regardless, what kind of parts should I source for this? Some sort of binding post? Pictures of the board and previous connector are attached. Something like the banana to spring-loaded adapter attached seems to be in the right direction, but those terminal wires will be way to thick for the hole on the PCB. Thanks in advance.
