Yeah, that was a mess. Somehow two different decade references were used. I've cleaned it up and it should have the right production dates in the June report. It's another example of Sansui's inconsistent model names. The AU-X111 was released a number of years after the AU-X111 Mos Vintage.@LBPete: Sorry, I have work for you
Could you please cure the AU-X111 entry in the PDF file? We have Production Date from 1979-1982 and 1989-1992. The wrong entries from 1979-1982 should be fixed to 1989-1992.
| Model | Serial | Production Date | Decade | Entry Date | Reporter | Notes | T-tag |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AU-X111 | 223798004159 | Invalid Date Code | 1987 | 4/30/26 | kleinanzeigen |
In looking at the AU-X111s on file, this one has an incorrect serial number:
Model Serial Production Date Decade Entry Date Reporter Notes T-tag AU-X111 223798004159 Invalid Date Code 1987 4/30/26 kleinanzeigen
It was entered last month along with a group of CD-X111s that have this type of long serial number.

I keep an eye on it. These AU-X111 appear quite frequently on kleinanzeigen in the past months. Seems they got sold pretty well in Germany back then. Thanks for looking. The AU-x111 was in production for several years, '89 to '92. It's possible this is a valid serial number from a late production unit but it's the only one out of 73 SNs on file. I'm going to keep it in with the long serial number to see if more long serial numbers turn up.

Kleinanzeigen also had a stolen image from marktplaats as well (a SE-77, "only shipment, no pick-up"). Was quiet the past weeks with Sansui, but seems these things are starting again. My harvest for WK24:

As usual a duplicate fest. And a stolen image from a German site, watermark and all.

Your AU-11000 was built on production line 21 in July of 1975. It was the 110th unit off that line that month. 8 and 9 digit serial numbers contain this information. Once it's entered into the database, cumulative information can be extracted. The database can be asked with a simple program called a query to provide a variety of different information. In this case I ask it to list all serial numbers from line 21 production in July 1975. Since the Model is tied to the serial number, here's what the models produced that month: AU-9900, AU-9500, and AU-11000sSorry, should have spotted that!
AU-11000,215070110,McHay is correct!
Hi Starbytes, welcome to AudioKarma Exclusively Sansui. Your AU-D9 was produced on production line 22 in April 1981. It was the 298th unit off that line that month. Line 22 was also building AU-X11s AU-D907s, AU-D7s and AU-D11s.AU-D9, 221040296, Starbytes
