2019 Christmas music playlist!

Normally I can't stand "Christmas" songs that are nothing more than some music industry stars trying to virtue signal, guilt trip, and sermonize. But this guy's the real deal - Amen.

Some good guitar work there, are you Paul? Lol I always call you James lol

"Paul" is the black haired guy, I'm the blonde dude. We been friends since the age of about 10 or so, both 47 now. Actually, Paul's birthday is tomorrow, so not yet 47.

To anyone who doesn't know, my real name is Tim. The "onwardjames" thing stemmed from being the designated driver when my friends would get blasted drunk. They'd shout, "Onward, James!!!" like I was their chauffeur in some F. Scott Fitzgerald book, and the nickname stuck.

Paul STILL calls me "James" tho that isn't even close to my christian name, haha. Listen closely at 10:16, you'll hear him say "here comes ol' James..."

Hope you enjoyed that. I did get to hear the last track, "What a Wonderful World" on Roger Russell's line array speakers with 100k of McIntosh amps pushing them at AKFest 2008. I didn't stop smiling for the rest of the day.....and 10 years later, obtained a set of good condition XRT20's.

Life is a flat circle, sometimes, isn't it??

That is way to funny, ok now I know it’s Tim :)

I did enjoy it I had it going on this morning, listened to the whole thing actually. Lol it was well done :)

I've seen that record at a local thrift in their Christmas music bin....Artie G's xmas album...can you tell me anything about it?

Well. The story is of Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem to pay the taxes and, the birth of Jesus. However, it's observed through the eyes of different animals. It's unlike any Christmas record I've ever heard. Singularly superb. Both Grant and Garfunkel are in top form. No harmonies though, that I can detect. Writing is wonderful. Webb's compositions are everywhere. There's Classical, Modern, Jazz, Rock. It's all there. There's a Boy's Choir that fits perfectly. There's absolutely no radio play here. Not a chance. I could listen to this one every day in December and not tire of it. I just love it. Never would've known about it had I not run across the pressing at a thrift store. Here's a shot of all personnel involved.

Hope this helps.
