Alan,

If you don't wake up next to them on a regular basis, and they don't sign your paycheck, it doesn't really matter what others think. Unless of course others THINK they see you coming at them with a hatchet. This is different.

Congrats Opt80!!! I wouldn't worry about what others think, since this is an open forum and you post intelligently. I disagree with others sometimes, but I don't think it would be anything to harm a friendship. I have many people I work with who I disagree with and in the grand scheme of things I think it's more the commonalities you have than the disagreements that makes friendships. I think every member here has at least one thing in common. If you don't go around bashing someone personally, which I think it's uncalled for, then keep posting what you want :)

Thanks Guys,If you can't have fun, geez why are we here then. Some of the people I know on PEI are,as John Hiatt would say, wrapped up in themselves like an orange peel.
They think I'm nuts to collect audio and talk to people on an audio forum.Meanwhile they sit at a bar on friday nights waiting for lonliness to pass like a stranger on a darkened street.
Sorry to be maudlin(I always liked the maudlin,Sam Bush plays a mean one) but people are so myopic of things they have no interest in.

No offence, Alan, but methinks P.E.I. might be kinda desolate & a bit depressing in the winter. NE Tennesse sure ain't a walk in the park Jan & Feb.....At least you have something to keep yrself occupied with instead of drinking yrself silly & wishing you had something to do or somebody to talk to. -Sandy G.

Sometimes, one's true passions require compromise in more than one area, rather than eliminating one passion altogether: in my case, I settle for mid-fi vintage stereo and gallons of Coors.
