From my professional experience I've assisted in building custom cabinets that have shipped all over this planet and have never heard that terminology. I also know there are other cabinet makers here that build custom one off stuff with jointery and veneer inlays, that have just blown MY mind, they too may also be scratching their heads. The only thing I could see exotic about these cabinets may be the price, as for the materials and construction they both look pretty "standard" to my old professional eyes, yes I did make sure to clean my bi-focals before looking closely, and as for the design...gawdy @ best.

Believe what you wish but I'm not drinkin' the kool-aid on the cabs, drivers is a whole 'nuther story because I'm not as familiar with them, but the cabs...uh,.

the cabinets are pretty standard? Do you see the size of them? How about the radius on the base, and the curved trim? That’s also some expensive veneer. Those could easily cost $20K to have built by a reputable custom shop.

It's still a particle board carcass with expensive veneer applied to it. That veneer does nothing for the sound quality just makes for possibly a more attractive and expensive piece of furniture.. The size of the enclosure no doubt has to accommodate the T/S parameters of the bass driver and yes I did see the size of the cabinet. Although that aspect my impress you or others that have not had to design/manufacture/construct or ship multiple custom one off solid surface wall panels 10' high x 12' wide weighing in at thousands of pounds, or custom mirror cabinets that only 6 could fit into a semi trailer, that doesn't have any bearing on my opinion. As for the "curved trim" you speak of; inserting a corresponding solid wood into the leading edges and veneering over then routering with a round over bit will give you a seamless transition. The radius on the base can be accomplished with a router table, however, the shop I worked at had a milling machine that would spit out that kind of mill work all day long. Quite often we made our own custom blade profiles for the milling process on a customer's project.

I would like to add that I would believe the shop I worked at was "reputable" as they shipped all over this planet and billed in excess of 10m in custom fixtures annually. They built custom one off store displays for some very well known clients in addition some very expensive one off items such as a wenge wood conference center complete with individual task lighting and connections for power, phone and network, seating for 24 which included an active media screen for presentation.

Be WOWed all you want, after working in that world I saw nothing in the photos or the explanation they typed up that makes me believe their cabinets are anything special...just expensive.

That would be my professional opinion.

And my professional opinion is that there is a lot of money in materials there. And a lot of man hours in the build. If I was bidding that to make money, it would be 20K and could be more depending... You can’t even see the carcass, so you really don’t know the complexity of bracing etc.. AND you need a professional shop to do that kind of work.

I guess I don’t know why you, as a professional cabinetmaker, would see that and attempt to diminish it, because there are a lot of crap speaker cabinets out there, but those aren’t them. For 320000K I guarantee that they are of high quality with an excellent finish. What would you like to see? More exotic veneer? Some pointless inlays?

the radius on the base is much larger than a router bit. That was done with a shaper. Then That radius is larger than you think. You don’t use a milling machine for edge profiles btw.

I can tell you, commercial cabinetry is not the same as building custom speakers. That is closer to furniture building. It’s different levels of precision.

Okay, not going to get into a pissing match here, you're completely right on all points. I'll retract my opinion because apparently my opinion doesn't matter here and according to you I know nothing about woodworking even though you know absolutely nothing about me.
