I bought these to replace a blown woofer in a pair of Philips cabs. Anybody recognize them?

You bought replacement drivers without knowing who made them or whether their parameters match the old drivers? :scratch2:
That being said, they have a ScanSpeak/Seas/Peerless/Audax look about them. Any numbers visible on them?

Yuppers, going on a wing and a prayer on this one. They replace 8" Philips woofers that are in a small two way sealed cab. The tweeter is also a Philips. The crossover is pretty simple, a first order job, it appears. These are my shop speakers and I have zero invested in them. The original woofers are very rare and I doubt I'll find any more of them. If necesary, I'll tweak the crossover and box or even build new boxes, not that I need another project.

They have stenciled numbers on the back but they ae sequential so methinks they are serial numbers and not a code number. When they get here, I'll see if the cones are numbered and that may lead to an answer. I was unable to find the maker of the original cabs so if this remains a mystery, that's right in keeping with what I have.

They look a lot like Vifas or Seas to me. Is that adhesive from the missing lables, or glue to hold vented pole covers in the center of the magnet structure?

My first impulse was Vifa -- both the basket and the small glued label area suggested it to me, since the Vifa label was not big.
