A little help please on label ... About to drive 6 hours to pick up what the seller says is Cornwall II, But his photo of label does not say "II". Could they be Cornwall II ..?

They are Cornwall 1s. I am not sure on the serial number but if that is an " N", they would have been built in 1975. The first of the Cornwall IIs were built in 1985. Also, the back comes off of the Cornwall 1 but does not come off the Cornwall II. Now to confuse this a bit, there were some of the original Cornwalls that were designated as Cornwall II. In that case, the II designation meant that the horns were vertically mounted instead of horizontally mounted. Allowed you to use one of them on it's side as a center channel. Or if used as a pair, they would be mirror imaged. Those are pretty rare and highly sought after. I have a pair of the mirror image verticals.

I don't have a pic yet without the grills, when I get it, is it true the ones have the tweeter inset and the twos are mounted on face?

The IIs have all horns and woofer mounted from the front (because the back is not removable). The 1s have everything mounted from the inside (backs are removable).

It seems there is an advantage to get in from back side,,, hmmm. Maybe I don't care if they are 1 or 2. I do plan to upgrade tweeters and xover anyway. Not sure his price is right though...

Oh, they also have the triangle badges,, what is up with that logo? Does it mean anything?

That is what is known as the Pie Slice logo. Just means that is the one that would be on some about that age. Not sure what year, but on some of those the grill does not come off. The fabric is just wrapped around the motor board. So, it is possible you can't remove a grill to see the horns and woofer.
