Acoustic Research LST 2

Any one know much about these speakers??? Are they worth $600.00??? I have an oportunity to pick up a pair of these in awsome condition are they worth it????

Unless you are an AR collector looking to round-out your stable, I can think of a boat-load of speakers I'd rather have at that price. Rare? Yes. Worth $600 sound-wise? I doubt it. Highly collectible? Without a doubt. Will they walk all over a nice $75 pair of Dynaco A-25's, NLA's or even a $200 pair of KLH 5's? I wouldn't think so. Just my opinion mind you.

That is about what they sell for. I don't quite know why but can't argue with the price if that is what one person will pay and an owner will take for them. Lots of good speakers available in that price range. The parts of the LST/2 are nearly worth the entry fee.
