I paid about 2/3 that for one which is actually in like new condition with box and manual. Think this one is going to be there a while.

No, not really. There are specific conditions that need to be met for an item to be considered mint. Admittedly that list is specifically for Audiogon, but the definition of mint is pretty standard everywhere, at least when professionals are involved.

Depends. Mint on CL, FB, etc. rarely have impact on price. But the word "Mint" on EBay usually means there is a good chance to get some money back from the seller after you receiving the item. The key is to read the description carefully and only buy it when you feel confident that a "not as described" can be filed safely later on. You should also carefully calculate the money amount you asked for so that the seller will feel "Just pay and forget". Practice make it perfect.
