ADS-910's

Well, I'm not the expert Here on the 910's but I'm just looking at the parts schedule and trying to incourage you that there are parts for them you can use.

If I may, it starts out in the schedule that ads used 206-0100 and 206-0107 but was replaced by 206-0116. However they also used 206-0117 In the 910's. So far there are listings for the 0117 and the 0100's on the bay. Some of them may need repair?

I couldnt recommend mixing a pair, but then I couldnt say you cant. Others here could help with that or Richard So himself.

Do both tweeters in both speakers look the same?

Garry

That something i did not notice.
The other one is missing it's tag.
Number does not look like your numbers
Ill take all of the help to learn about the speakers.
The numbers 206-100 and 206-0117 that Spiceman50 mentioned are the actual ADS tweeter part numbers. The 206-100 is an older part number that was part of the original 910 run. I believe the 206-0117 were installed in the later iterations.

206-0100 is the full part number as quoted above (all of these ADS parts are xxx-xxxx format). The 206-0100 is an earlier 1" dome, the 206-0117 (and 201-0107) are 3/4" dome tweeters and usually are crossed over slightly higher than the 1" tweeters would be, IME.

If it's not marked, you can always measure the dome diameter to find out which type it is.

No, would need two 206-100's. They are fairly common to find as several models used them. Richard So can probably fix any that need repairs, just have to contact him first to make sure he has the parts.

The 206-0101's are a smaller plate than the 206-0100. Don't worry, the 206-0100's tend to pop up on the bay. There's a single one currently being listed at $49.99. Too bad it's not a pair.

I got 2 off ebay one was $49 and the other for $15
Got an email back from Richard and a price to get tweeters and midrange and the crossover look at.
So when I get the tweeters in ill send them to him.

Thanks all of you for all of the help.

That's great! Think your amazed when you got the the 910's, you'll be super amazed when the parts come back and you install them. I've been looking forward to joining this club for several years now. I've come close, but no cigar as of yet. The 910 was the first ADS speaker I ever heard when they first came out, and it has made an indelible impression in me ever since.

I just did a quick scan through this thread, and realized the stands were discussed, but wanted to post the dimension drawings, which have been floating around on the web, but figured this would be another good place to have it.
Cheers!

Hello all,
I am trading for a set of 910’s with LED’s. Some questions I’m hoping I can get some help with:
1. What is optimal placement from walls etc? I do not have the stands and will be using alternate 10” stands.
2. Should these be angled in a bit?
3. Tilted back a bit?
4. What is the optimal hook up/cables?

Any other input/advice is appreciated!

I will post pics once I have them set up.
