Looks like this kind of dead ended, and a very old thread at that. Maybe I can hijack it, really don't think anyone would care. I have a pair of these with the brackets now for a few years, and have yet to try them out. I was interested in what amps should I use to drive them. Are they efficient enough to drive them with a 100 watts per channel? I am current using all tube amps but I have a number to choose from and my most powerful would be 200 watts per channel, just wondering if I would need that much, I don't listen to music that loud.

Tube amps with low damping factor made the dual woofer L1590/2 sound all floppy. Tubes remain, speakers are gone. Tubes make my DQ-10s sound great and if I use the subs, louder than I really need. Without the subs, more than loud enough for almost all listening. Didn’t try the subs with the 1590s.

I used the McCormack DNA-1 with the ADS to good effect.

100 watts might be enough if you don’t need to headbang, peel blaster or entertain the neighbors.

And we know the OP has the answers but back then the speakers woulda been about 20% of what they sell for now.
