Just picked a pair yesterday. Cosmetically need help which I can do, but the sound is incredibly better than than my L990s that I thought were great.

The L990 were spoken of by soundmotor a former ads employee as one of their few not so good speakers. He said upgrading to the ads subwoofer used in cars would be a big improvement. Interesting that using similar dome mids and tweets, my brother was not happy with the sound of the 990 after just 15 seconds of listening but he did think the 1590/2s sounded good.
You have made a very nice step up in your speakers.
