Advent 6003

There are some speakers for sale near me:

"Advent speakers model 6003 32-3-4” x 8 ≤” walnut finish."

Does anyone know if this is the "classic" large Advents or some other model worth pursuing?

I have the 5002's as do others here. I think the 6003's are the walnut version. The 5002's are nice speakers. Nicer than the Large Advent IMHO.

Had a pair of 6003's but I didn't like them for rock or electric blues. I think they would be great for classical or jazz.They are ten inch three way and use quality components, not very efficient but will handle 300 watts.The cabinets on mine were rough so I stripped the parts.The crossovers are excellent and I ended up using them in a pair of Infinitiy 3000's that turned them into a very good 12" 3-way. Tweeter is the same as the 5002 and the woofers I used in some Vega D-3's with good results.

Your right, I was confused. I don't think I've seen a 6003.

I agree. I never heard of them. If they were local and under $50 I would buy them just too see what they are and how they sound.

The 6003 are latter " Jenson Advents" weigh 65lbs. very good quality probably sold for 800.00 to 1,000.00 a pair.
