There is a huge local wind farm that has been chugging along reliability for the past 17 yrs, the new turbines are way better. Same when I work in Spain, they have many that are still providing the majority of the power for that region for 20ish yrs.

They work great :thumbsup:

I go with proven usages over internet opinions.

Just pointing out your flawed argument, if it's that bad for wind turbines you shouldn't be building anything there by your logic.
 
Solar makes a LOT of sense here in Belize and if I were calling the shots, all new construction would be required to at least augment with solar if not go totally solar. . Unfortunately there is no "net-metering" here so you either give power back to the grid or go with the more expensive battery/inverter route.

I've got a water softener installation project lined up but after that it is a DC pool pump/controller and solar panels.

It was bad years ago before wind turbines became the solve all solution.
Just driving through the Tehachapi mountains and the Palm Springs area.
There are busted broken wind turbines littering the mountain sides. They don't remove the broken ones, they just add new ones. The hill sides look like a junk yard.
 
My nephew is working for a AI company, he creates a question then uses google for his answer. He is a smart kid but only went to college for one semester and has absolutely no real world experience to say the least.

We had to create a Knowledge Base at work 20 years ago so that anyone could fix the problems with our products, as soon as we completed it they laid everyone off and sent the tech support jobs to India. Its dated now because it didnt include new and future products and the customers didnt renew support contracts and the whole division is a ghost town now.

Wouldn't have needed them if they wouldn't have shuttered the nuclear plant. It would have cost the taxpayers a lot less money if they would have upgraded that plant with new technology. As with about everything else, different areas of this country have different situations and solutions. Not every piece of clothing is a one size fits all.

we are on nuke power not running at capacity. All the projects around here are to supplement that other added capacity.

We have 16 yr old farms where neither has proven to be a problem.
