Bobby Rydell had the billboard "hit version.EDIT: I found the one song, "Volare", stashed in my own pile. Completely different vibe from Dean Martin's 1963 version.

Cool. I didn't know the Domico Modugno original. The original song was sung by Domico Modugno (Italian) in 1958. Maybe that's what you found?
BTW: the original song title was 'Nel blu dipinto di blu'.

Congratulations!! Enjoy all of your time now!I retire THIS week, officially on Friday the 29th, on my 65th bday, although my last work day is Wednesday. Been a Systems Analyst at the same hospital for 36 years.
Talk about mixed emotions...
I was living in Messina, Sicily in 1958 and, believe me, it was a monster hit.Cool. I didn't know the Domico Modugno original
I'm ahead on my MSTY, but have covered call orders in to take advantage of remaining profits. Meanwhile, I've moved a considerable amount over to a weekly payer, COYY. It has performed well.Just curious how @ETLS is doing with his chunk of MSTY?
Did you ever get 100% of your investment back?
My underlying value was eroding faster than the dividend was paying out, so I had to sell all but a few shares for a slight loss.
That was last week, and it looks like it's still going down.
Congrats !Retired one year ago today, two months after turning 62. I have loved every minute of it and do not miss it at all. Highly recommend retiring as early as possible if you can. You won't regret it.

It's a great number and Peggy Lee, IMO, was under-appreciated even @ her time, much less @ the end of the first quarter of the 21st century. My brother and I were little shavers, supposed to be liking Pop and Rock and Blues and all that stuff, but we also loved Jazz and I, in particular, loved "torch" lady vocalists ... and Peggy delivered. There is a song ("Is That All There Is?")- Peggy Lee '69 that, at the time, didn't mean much to me. I was pretty much living the "surface level" of life at the time, and couldn't really relate to it.
However, it has a lot more meaning to the lyrics now, compared to back then. Some believe the song related to the close of the 60's, wherein a lot of dreams crashed, and the way of life during that decade came to an end.
Today, it takes on a whole new meaning, looking back to all the "forks" in the road, wondering how life would have been... if I had made a different choices on them.
Funny how "Time" changes our views on things past, as we consider the present as in Lee's message.

Hmmm ... sometimes the more, the merrier. Being stuck @ home with just one (S) other can be ... crowded. Yo. But sometimes not. Depends on the (S) other ... maybe.Keep in mind that NOW, you have only the two entities to deal with (you and an SO) rather than trying to please the multiple ones you had to deal with in the past situation. A relief in itself!

Already went and it was a lot of fun seeing everyone again. Funny how some seemed to of peaked in HS and others matured and grew up in unexpected ways. I always did my best to be friendly with everyone. Have stayed in touch with a couple over the years anyway.Next year I'm going to a 50th Kubasaki (DoD, HS) reunion in Nashville.
Started working out a bit, while watching the WNBA games.
My 6-pac is starting to look good.![]()

Get the name tag and dig out your yearbook......
Bet it will be a fun time!

I've found that folks personality remains pretty much the same throughout life, it is their beliefs that sometimes change... My children were born with their own unique personalities- they showed after they learned to talk and haven't changed over 30 years. Old high school and military buddies are still they same folks they were when young. Our 50th last year was a blast. People don’t change much and that was refreshing.
Bummer. I think we had about 150 out of a class of 1,000 iirc. There were 383 people on the FB page!Ours was 5 years ago, but I moved 400 miles away and wasn't that close to a lot of folks because I was a transfer, not part of a group that was together for years earlier. One of my friends I'm FB friends with said it was cancelled due to Covid and may have been rescheduled with 71 or 72?
It was no surprise that the venue was the home of the home coming king and queen. The ultimate 18 year old power couple 50 years hence. Just like my wife and I except for the ultimate and power part, but we were an engaged couple.I've found that folks personality remains pretty much the same throughout life, it is their beliefs that sometimes change...
