yes get them. this will be the only post you get cause there is no love for these speakers on thi forum or very little. depending on the condition i wouldn't pay more than $100 for a mint pair. i just parted out a pair i had for more than a year cause the cabinets were toast but they rocked. the woofers are still pounding in my jbl l88's. let me know if you get them and need parts or just want spares i have a mint set of grills. real veneer and cloth surrounds you cant go wrong. here is a pic of the sw-180's next to some jbl 100's. enjoy.

here is the sw-180a. the sw-155 have pots that dont work very well at this age and are a pain to spray deoxit in. if the tweets or mids dont work the pots (high, mid) knobs are the culprit.

need one squawker

I need one squawker for Akai SW-155. I see some parted out some time ago, 2006. Any chance any of you guys have one squawker left?

My Akai SW-130 sound much better then almost anything else (including very respectable ones). They're 3-way with 12" woofer. These vintage Akai are best kept secret.

My 155's have a sound that is good with specific music. Can't say what exactly, but switching between Sansui SP2500, Realistic old towers, and the Akai SP155, it get a sound that's good for what ever I listen too. Still need one squawker for the 155's
