Alignment ?

If you like what you are hearing, then fine. It is your ears and your money. However, it is unlikely that it sounds 'like new' after all these years.

Okay. I'm not sure what new would sound like anyway, since I'm not the original owner. But it sounds "nice" and seems to have no "issues". I guess if I felt I had money to throw at it, I might. Maybe someday, just for the hell of it.

I can attest to the benefits of alignment. Punker X just returned my Kenwood KT-5020 that he rebuilt and aligned for me, and it is truly amazing.

Speaking of alignment, I just purchased a Fisher KM-60 and supposedly this tuner has features that allow it to be aligned in the field by the owner, but I haven't been able to locate any documentation on the Internet about how to do this.

I'll still send it to RadioXTuners when I'm finished, but I am retubing it and replacing the electrolytic and paper caps and would like to be able to field align it and get a lisenting baseline before I send it of to Punker X.

Does anyone have any information about the Fisher KM 60 alignment procedure?

Is the KM-60 a kit version of the FM-100B?

Here's some docs for this one: http://www.mcmlv.org/Archive/HiFi/FisherFM100B.pdf

I'm now enjoying my FM-200B through headphones as I type...

Are you familiar with the Tuner Information Center? Excellent site with loads of tuner info. Am sure you tuner is listed there, as well. Check it out (google).
