Just picked up a Allied 498.

Seem to be quality build because 1971.
Thank You

hm, another Allied model I've never seen. I have a 495.

If its anything like my 495, its probably built by Pioneer. Might have to pop the lid and see if it offers any clues.

Yep it has Pioneer internals. Servicing it the knobs were scratchy. But all works even automatic tuner. The tuner is neat!!! Thanks

Anyone have input on these?
It’s a great unit. Thanks

Pioneer-made Allied receivers are, "under-the-radar", for sure!
