Those 2a3's...generally less expensive, more plentiful and a wider variety to choose from compared to 300B's, correct?

Just to be clear, I was talking about the tubes themselves here...not 2a3 driven amps. Finding high SQ 2a3 tubes doesn't take as much coin as similar caliber 300B tubes...correct? That's kind of what I've gleaned from a few discussions, at least.

Yes. In the broadest of generalizations, good 2A3s cost less than good 300Bs.
