Someone is going to get lucky, wish I could find 4312s for 200 clams.

And those Altecs, are just great, I sold a single Altec 755a driver on the bay for 1100.

Indeed, someone could instantly quadruple their investment in those Altecs, if the 755's work at all.

The 755cs aren't as desirable as the as but would still bring several hundred a piece.

Hello I have a set of altecs 836a ....serial no. 361 and 362 ....what value do they carry... I have them hooked to an 70's kenwood reciever and amp...and love the sound they produce...I am useing them in place of my AR-11's I am trying to find the best place to rebuild my AR's....please let me know the aprox ..year and value ??: ..Thank you.

Recent auctions on Ebay are your best bet. The 755cs go for a pretty penny on their own - again, check Ebay. They're rumored to sound their best when driven by low power single-ended triode tube amps. :yes:

not much info on ebay at this time ..I do not see any screws in back so I do not know what speaker is in them ?? ...but looking through the grill side I can see the speakers have a red ring around them ..?? they do sound nice !! Yhanks for the reply and info
