Altec 846b value?

Last year I ended up with some Altec 846b speakers in great condition (VOTT, Valencia family). They sound wonderful.

What are your thoughts on 846b values these days? For what it's worth, I live in SoCal. Thanks in advance!

Things are a little hotter now but i sold my pair in 2019. I had them listed locally at 1500, but nobody was interested. I finally took a partial trade for a clean and working Marantz 2275 in wood case plus 650 bucks. That was when a 2275 was worth about 750.

Those are in really nice condition which is good. I think in that shape you should be able to get 1500 to 2000 for the pair, possibly more. Being on the west coast is good, because there are lots of people who export these to Asia.

I would agree, $1500 - $2000. Those look to be in beautiful shape.
IIRC, those were the last iteration of the Valencia, sold for the least amount of years. Production figure wise I'm guessing fewer than their predecessor.

Very nice. I have the 846A's and am very fond of them. You have gear they would love, such as the LK-72 and Marantz. Very cool. Agree with the price estimates.

Same here. 848A's since 1977. They're not going anywhere.
