Bowtie, what are the 12 inch Altec woofers like? And what kind of drivers would have to go on the horns to make a nice combo? I have a pair of Heathkit AS 101 horns with 8 ohm drivers on the 811.

414-16B woofers. They originally had 806A drivers, good riddance at this point. You could get them up and running with a cheap pair of Eminence PSD-2002's, while you seek out Altec or GPA 902's and build 1200-1500hz networks for them.

Thanks for the info, lots to chew on there. As if I need a third pair of Altecs. Any thoughts on using just one of those woofers in smaller cabinets? (WAF)
