Am I screwed?

So E-bay encourage me to talk to the buyer before putting a bann on this guy for life. E-bay also provide me with his number (How to get it in the system), well I don't think he wants to talk to me at this point, so I send him another e-mail and explain what's going to happen if he doesn't pay(I don't think he cares) and that's it. I will get my fees back and I am out $50.00 shipping plus an Adcom 6000 Amp.

in new zealand we all send money before items are sent ,we are a trusting people and works fine,i have had a few slow payers but they always do ,why should it be any different where you are?? paypal dose not exist over here and happy about it ,this means that the social fabric is still in tack

im sure you will get paid ,the person might be just taking his time now ,

Getting a ISP ban isn't really a big punishment. It's only a ban till he gets a different computer. ISP bans (lifetime bans) only work for the lifetime of the device that you are using. So getting banned isn't really a punishment at all.

All you need to do is get a new device. Then create a new ebay account.
 
I am thinking giving him one final offer. I bought the amp at an estate sale for $100.00 and shipping cost me $50.00. So if I offer him to pay up the $150.00 and calls everything even, you guys think he will take it?

Not a chance in hell. He is either honest and will pay you what he owes or he will pay you nothing. Never negotiate with a thief now he will steal your dignity too and laugh at you for trying to bargain with him.

Use the "you needs to ship x items" link. That way you get the list of items people have already paid for.

One thing I hate about ebay is when a person buys multiple items, but ebay fails to group all of them together in the "sold" list.

What Snow said. Not to mention, if he knows you only paid $100 for it, he will feel like he is ripping you off for less.

I would google his phone number and then get his exact home address and full name then send him a message stating that you will contact the local police in his area along with the fact you have hired someone locally who is going to pay him a personal home visit to ensure that you get your personal property back or your money if the police do not get matters resolved if you do not receive payment within 24 hrs. Whatever you do do not say anything threatning bodily harm of any type

It may not accomplish anything but it will make him think and it may even scare him enough to pay you. :D

He already offered you a price via the BIN/Make Offer that you accepted. Stick to that. Have you called the person? You haven't said you've done this. If not why not? When did tracking say the amp was delivered?

Edit: if all you are doing is using eBay's messaging system there could be numerous reasons you haven't heard back. Once my email address got corrupted in eBay and I wasn't getting anything sent to me out of their system. There's junk mail filters too. I had one instance where I wasn't hearing back from someone and eventually got a story about they were impacted by some tragic accident that sounded just too hard to believe....until I saw a local news article that confirmed the story.

Snow he obviously has the address since he already sent him the amp. I don't think local cops will do anything here. It's purely a he said vs he said case.

It really doesnt matter if the local cops will do anything or not, I don't think they can even if they wanted too but the thought of the police or someone else paying him a personal visit may make him uncomfortable enough to suddenly become an honest man.

I just did again and it said that a email will be send to me. this e-bay account belongs to my girlfriend and I will have to wait till she comes home to find out the phone number for me.
 
DO NOT offer a discount.
He made a commitment to pay XXX dollars and that is what he owes you.
DO NOT let him know how much you have into it. It is none of his business.
Have you considered making a police report locally?
I was involved with a credit card fraud case recently. Things moved along slowly (with the place my card was used fraudulently) until I went and filed a police report. At that point they must have realized I was serious and truly had been stolen from.

Get your own eBay/Paypal accounts before it becomes a problem for your GF. No telling when eBay decides to make even more changes for the IRS. Do it soon while your feedback score is still relatively low.

Email they opened the account with

They will get a notice as well with your info, I should say your girlfriends.

James open your own ebay account lol, Now this is most likely why your having trouble dealing with ebay. Your a nobody you see what Im saying, your kind of in the middle and ebay isn't jumping though hoops. They don't know if they can trust you you personally either. It's not your account, Now your girlfriends Info going to the smuck
