Amp size for JBL L96?

I recently acquired a pair of JBL L96. These speakers are rated for a maximum amp power of 250 watts per channel. I am running a vintage JVC amp rated at 115 watts per channel. Any opinions as to how they will match?

Should be no problem.250 Watts is the max power the L96's can handle.115 Watts is max for your JVC BUT TELL ME WHEN WILL YOU EVEN PUSH HALF OF THAT?

An amplifier's physical size has no bearing on how it interacts with these ( or any ) speakers. The unspecified model JVC amplifier should work just fine in an average home stereo situation.

I've run my L96s on anything from Crown D150A-II, DC300A-II, PS200, PS400, JBL/Urei 6260, to Soundcraftsmen Pro-Power-Four. Nominally 90 to 200 WPC. Sounds great on all of them. Do they sound better with more power? I can convince myself that it is so, but they sound great on all of these and how loud do you want to play them?

You might even like them better on certain amps that don't produce as much power. :dunno: That's what this hobby is all about! Try it and see.
