Ampex Console ID needed

Could any one ID this Ampex console has tube. It was listed on local CL and the lady onwer, she doesn't know anything about this.

Tube. Should have one or two amps in there too. What is the deal with the cabinet layout? Nice RR, tuner and pre-amp all tubelicious.

Late 50's, early 60's. AMPEX built them like that. Every one that I've seen has that same basic layout.

The preamp is worth more alone. I just checked the completed auctions on the monoblocks and stereo 6973 amps, they're getting into ridiculous territory.

Truly fugly, but I would get some antique green glaze, antique it, and celebrate. One of the only things better would be some Marantz tube gear with Tannoys. :thmbsp:

same guts as mine (my cabinet's less Al Pacino Scarface ) ridiculous craftsmanship in the cabinet, electronics, and speakers (should be 3 way - 12 inch woofers, , 8 inch mids, and the (IMO) amazing cone tweeters.

hope you get it ! might be tempting, but don't part it - unless you need a mortgage payment ; )

Here we go the Crescendo Ampex console. I got it on Sat. and have no time to take it home for picture of it. Just a few snapshot to entertain to all my dear AK's. It's is very heavy.
