Another amp for B&W DM2

Hello. I'm using B&W DM2 with McIntosh MC2105. I wonder what if there is another good amp which would be better with these speakers than MC2105. What do you think? Luxman, Krell, Yamaha or what? I have no idea. Thank you.

Nice. What is it that is lacking in the presentation with the Mac that you'd like to improve on? That might be a good starting point for musing.

I suspect that it could be more dynamic with other amp. And second point is I would lilke to improve my experience.

How long since your MC2105 was serviced? It may need a freshen up.

I'm affraid it was long time ago. As for me I have never had service for that. Advise, please what I should start from with my amp?

I recently spent about $400 reconditioning my MC2105 after a channel failed. When I got it back I couldn't believe how great it sounded. I'd say get it to a tech that can recondition it to meet / exceed published specs.

These amps are 40-45 years old now ...

Nice. It seems that there is nothing better MC2105. What do you think? Nobody can advise amp better than MC2105

There are many amps better than an MC2105 ... An MC500 would do nicely!

Hmm.. MC500 is expensive for me. I'd like to try something with the same price. I mean 2105's price. Of course if I'm gonna spend more money I'll probably get better sound, but what about vintage and ~1000$ amps?

IMHO, you're gonna have to spend more than $1k to best an MC2105. Keep an eye out for a used MC2002 or MC7200 ...

I've been looking for efficiency specs on the first model but to no success so far. Anyone know that tidbit of info? I'm wondering just how many w/ch they really need. If they're reasonably efficient maybe something like a push-pull EL-34 amp might be nice?
