Might they be Avante?
That was a brand I thought was made to cash in on the popularity of Advent’s. A pair of Avante models were given to me by a friend and defiantly had credibility.
That friend bought them locally a couple of years before from one of the local vintage HiFi shops. By local I mean Innovative Audio or Lotusland. Since you’re on the BC coast, you may know those places. I got them when he swapped out those speakers and his receiver (Pioneer SX-850) for a Bose Lifestyle system.
Was in his woodworking shop and he needed the space.
I poked around inside them and those speakers defiantly had credibility. SEAS tweeter and possibly woofer too. Sturdy cabinets with heavier gauge internal wiring than what I’ve seen inside say Advent, Wharfedale, Dynaco etc.
I seem to remember learning online of Avante being made in Canada - Toronto or Montreal. But the manufacturer had a short lifespan.
Can’t recall if the boxes were vinyl or veneer clad but they sounded good and sold to the first person I played them for. A young guy wanting a pair of speakers and my price was good....for him.
The receiver went to a neighbour.

You are correct that AvantI (I believe with an I) was a PSB model. Might have been their first offering. Certainly an early one. I owned a pair of those too but traded them. A smallish pair of bookshrlve’s - 8” with glops of silicone or something stuck on the woofer cone. The pair I had had the word I took to be “Avanti” ink-stamped on the back but it was faint.
The Avante I was referring to was definitely a brand name. No model name or number was evident. I interpreted that as meaning a one and only product.
Regarding those you posted about, I thought maybe a current owner, a seller, verbally relayed that name and missed pronounced it.
