What 'east coast' are you on? Starbuck's is everywhere from Norfolk to Maine. Can't say I know much about south of here, though. But every reasonably sized town I visit has one or several. And, there is no accounting for taste (yours or mine).

Precisely right. To me it tastes like it's been sitting on a too-hot warming plate for a couple of days. I thought it was me, but after trying a number of Starbucks, it's the same at every one of 'em.
