My only "recreation" is playing in a band- rehearsals on most Tuesday nights and the occasional gig.
“Zero One Zero” eh?
Do you play in our neck of the woods?
Inertia?I'm surprised that many here have not even tried attending a meeting with CAS.
There are some hard rockers in Hartland!
My buddy is a drummer in “Endless Decent”. hear of them?
But are there any venues in Hartland besides the Grange and maybe a church or two?

Our last gig was outdoors at the birthday party of the library in Portland.
So, the story goes I was in a big band pre-COVID, and having a couple dozen horns blowing hot air and spit on everyone suddenly wasn’t in vogue… the band leader wanted to do a jazz trio with the bass player and me. That evolved into a quartet with keys and then quintet with a trombone. Now we are a sextet with a second guitarist.
I’m into jazz lately, and actually took private lessons for a good 15 years or so on it. We kicked ass in high school jazz band (really a big band but whatever) but I was mostly into prog rock so did some work there, cut an EP in 2001 I think and then not much else happened with that.
Anyway the current sextet is doing a gig in Wallingford in September. Mostly classic rock stuff and a few standards/older classics in there too. Nothing I’m crazy about but whatever. I’m hoping we will get into some hard bop and/or modern jazz stuff next. I know Lynn is eager to get back to “swinging” so fingers crossed…View attachment 2640256
They’re based in Enfield, not sure where or how often they play.I have not but I looked them up. They are a different kind of heavy than we are - definitely more Metal whereas we are more Rock. Cool to know there are more rockers out in the woods!
Do you know where they play out?
This is going to be a tough question to answer, but I've gotta try.
Last name, Smith. Last know location, Torrington 1990's.
First names, Paula, Frank, Chris, Jinx and Bill.
The terribly common name has made it impossible to find any of them.
I'm only asking here because Frank and Bill were guitar players and music lovers.
Just a shot in the dark, but you never know unless you try.

@Rickyd69 CAS (CT Audio Society) has just had 2 live meetings in the past few months.
We had a fairly large tag sale at a church.
And we just had a show your DIY build meeting where I showed Large Advent Econowaves.
We don't have a real lot of DIYers but enough to make it interesting.
Your first meeting is free, then we ask that you join to continue. Dues are cheap per year
and lunch at every meeting more than pays for it.
We have a web page and Face Book page.
We used to rarely have fewer than 30 people show up, and up to 60 for holiday meetings
where there is great food. Now after COVID we're having 20 to 30 people showing up,
but that might increase.
Please come to a MEETING!!!!
