Anybody out for Record Store Day?

I went to The Attic in Millvale PA. Long line outside, long line inside. Mostly young people in their 20s and 30s, I was probably the oldest person in there.
Everyone was cool and polite. The Attic had all of the RSD releases (I got the Marty Stuart EP I was after plus a Led Zep 7-inch). Had a blast.
The store is having Sunday hours and I might go back when there's fewer people so I can pick through the leftovers.

No, and have no plan to. Why fight my way through crowds of young uns to get access to the (mostly) same records I can get on most other days when few people are in the store? The RSD special releases don't really interest me.

Attic is a really nice record store ... but I'll never go there on Record Store Day again. Last time I was there (last year) ... it was so
packed, that you could not move around. I'll be taking trip there in the next couple of months and am looking forward to
the visit.

Yup, went to my local record store, about 5 blocks away. Had what I wanted, guy throws a party with live bands later....so will go back. I was surprised that there wasn't much of a line. I, too, was the oldest person there, I think.

Nope. RSD selections have been getting less and less interesting to me.

I'm sure I didn't have to go today, the Marty Stuart EP I got, I was probably the only person who bought it. But it was the first time I ever went on the actual day and I had a good time despite the crowds.
Most RSD releases don't do anything for me but there are always one or two...last RSD it was the Bangles LP of demos and outtakes, before that Blank Generation, the Monkees box set, Dizzy Gillespie's The Champ...
Had a chance to score all of the Bowie 7-inch picture discs as leftovers but didn't to my regret.

Indeed I did. I only got one - Living Colour Live at CBGC's from 1989 (new pressing), but it was a great time!

Went to three stores today while on the Mainland and got this haul. about 40 albums. All Jazz. I also have 10 albums coming mail-order that I ordered from a participating store that ships for free to get some albums I absolutely wanted.

I grabbed a copy of the Led Zep. Only played "Rock n Roll" excellent sound quality.

Bought so many good records in the last months that nothing from rsd is going to be special at all...

I went and had a blast. Got the Dylan and the Dead record I wanted. Was in a line of a couple hundred before the store opened. Everyone was helping each other find what they were after. All the Dead stuff went fast but someone told me they had one left at another store, so I raced over and got it. I think its good for business, I enjoyed it even though many would consider me "old".

This is this first Record Store Day that I've missed since I started going in 2010. I'm a social person and like to mingle with people in the crowds.

My wife had a flea market event today and tomorrow and I had to attend.

But I did do something evil.... I wanted "The Cure - Torn Down" bad.... and I bought one off of ebay.

I await my termination for Audiokarma.

My son and I went to one our favorite stores. He doesn't stock RSD releases. He hoards special stuff for months and puts them out instead. I mainly picked up a few 80s pop records. I am happy and so is my son. He scratched Simon and Garfunkel and Elton John off his list.

I went to Rich’s Record Emporium in a small town, Collinsville, Illinois, about 20 minutes from downtown St Louis.

I went with fellow AK member Sturgus. Rich’s has an audio equipment store connected to the record store. Got to audition some great modern gear, took me back to the good old days.

Had a great day, bought four records, and had a great lunch too.
