AR XA² Two Arm Turntable , An exercise of passion.....

Well In the Big Ar thread I showed the Cover made by JnB Audio on E-bay. Just great work!!!

I added some constant torque hinges made by SouthCo , they are from the E6 series. The first ones I got were 20lbs of force I thought
might be too much but now after using the 8 lb smaller ones the 20 pounders may have worked just fine.

Being paranoid I added an aluminum plate on the inside of the cover for each hinge to spread
the forces over the acrylic. Drilling the holes in the cover went with out a hitch, just got slow.

The cover stays where you put it after about 45° where if you go lower it will fall. They gave bump stops for the four corners which is a nice touch.

So here are some pics.....

It looks very nice, especially the custom logos. Good preventative strategy with the aluminum plate on the hinges.
Looks like a sylift used with the AR arm - does it work well?

This is an old 70's product made by Monitor Audio. It does work very well. I have two of these. Wish I bought more when the store I got them from was blowing them out at $10 each back in the 90's when CD's took over.
